The long awaited notes arrived today - 4 pages of feedback on an 8 page treatment - which is exceptional value for money in my book - especially since they were free (thanks to the UKFC's script development submission feedback scheme)
So while I have a good think, I'll finish grouting.

ooo exciting. reading between the lines do you think they'll give you some development money?
Potto - you get the notes after being turned down!
(see - being an Aries I rarely blog about rejection - ha!)
but it's still v. early days. Now it has to 'substantially progress' or summat before any re-submission...
That means (good) script in place, talent and what have you.
But producers are on board.
Thanks for stopping by and pointing me to Talking Pics. Are you in SA? Would love to talk at some point. Email me, if you don't mind...
ok will do FJ
Oh really? As I understood it you submit your project for a free assessment, and if it seems positive you then apply for development money. I got this from a reliable source although they may have been talking about scripts and not treatments.
I don't know about that route Pot - but do check it out (and let me know).
Anyway the feedback is spot on.
and even this way is an incentive for writers..
yes i will check it out and report back to base. that's so good that the notes are spot on. means they 'got it' doesn't it.
if in doubt, grout
*titter*
well of course now the whole thing has turned around with the UKFC new funding schemes which do NOT allow re-submissions of projects. I'm trying to find out if that's only for projects submitted under the new scheme - there'll be a fair number caught in between like mine I imagine...
